Happy Easter!

Thought you might enjoy some pictures of Violet's 2nd Easter celebration. It was really the first Easter that she was able to do anything though. She got a kick out of the Easter Egg hunt and has discovered a love of jelly beans and Hershey's kisses. She is her mother's daughter!

The only detriment to the day was the fact that it was only around 30 degrees. We still managed to get out for a walk with Grandpa and Grandma Fynaardt and Aunt Cali who were visiting from Iowa this weekend (and whining about how it was close to 50 there).

Now it's a week's wait until we get the adventure of traveling to California to visit Auntie Chandra! Wish us patience and a safe and uneventful plane ride, and the challenge of packing for California when it's no where near spring like now.

Happy 1/2 birthday Violet!

Just a little post to let you all know that Violet celebrated her 1 1/2 birthday today. It's hard to believe that our 'baby' is 18 months old already. We celebrated by taking her to our school's carnival. Ben and I took her, but she spent most of the night running around with the 5th grade babysitter's club. It allowed Ben and I to pull our weight in working games, and Violet loves her 5th grade buddies, and they had a blast helping her play the games.

Hope all is well wherever you are!

50 Degree Snow Day

So this is the entry I was going to post last Monday on our 50 degree snow day, but got distracted. It was snow day number 11 for us, but fortunately, our calendar has 11 days built into it, so we do not have to make any up. Thank goodness because we already go until June 10.

Not much else new and exciting is going on here at possibility manor. We paid a visit to Violet's first babysitter yesterday (last Sunday) and had a great time letting the 'brothers and sisters' play with her and keep contact with her. For those of you that don't know, we had to change babysitters in November because Violet's first babysitter found out she was pregnant. Due to her high risk status, her doctor had told her that she really didn't want Kathy babysitting, so we found another babysitter. Not easy, but it's worked out pretty well. Kathy is doing great and everything ended up going very smoothly, and there will be a new baby boy Walch by the end of March. Violet had a blast and really enjoyed playing with Kelsey's doll so I guess we know what's going in Violet's Easter basket.

Other than that bit of information from last week, our schedule this week is jam packed. Track season started yesterday, so Ben is consumed by that, and the 2nd grade play is this Friday night, so that's what my time is spent doing.

I thought I'd leave you with a few pictures from another 'warm' snow day; we are very anxious for spring as Violet absolutely lives to be outside. After taking these pictures Mom and Dad were cold and so we went in and got to listen to a very upset baby. Violet is getting very good at expressing her dissatisfaction of our choices. Even though this snowman looks extremely happy, he only lasted a few days. Gravity took it's toll.

And just because sleeping babies are so cute...

Have a wonderful end to your week! And may this last picture leave you with a smile.

Violet loves mom's hat!
